Dublin born DJ and producer Peadar Ó Brádaigh, AKA P-Hocto, had been circling the Irish electronic scene for a number of years but is now to be found across the pond in London city. A vinyl fanatic, Peadar separates himself from the homogenised masses by playing a killer selection of new and old tracks across the various styles of techno, electro and bass music that most appeal to him. Whether dark and deep, weird and wonky, glitched out and sublime or simply pounding, one thing is for sure, you won’t find any filler here.
Currently studying for a degree in Sonic Arts at Brunel University, Peadar’s productions have recently seen a big leap in quality. It’s a trend that’s set to continue in 2012 as he delves further into the possibilities presented by both his course and his fledgling modular synthesiser. In 2011 Peadar supported some big names in the underground techno and bass circuits, both at home and abroad. Artists like; Neil Landstrumm, Jerome Hill, Luke’s Anger, Dave the Drummer, PET Duo, Fran Hartnett, Sunil Sharpe, Rory St John, Eomac, Swarm Intelligence and Kanji Kinetic to name but a few. 2012 will see him working on a live hardware collaboration project, as well as continuing to step up his productions and mixes.
